Ansible Server

Ansible Server: Configuration, Features, Component and Uses

introduction

Ansible Server is a web server role provisioning tool used for configuration management, application deployment, and task automation. It is capable of configuring systems, deploying softwares, and organizing more up to dated IT tasks that are continual distribution or zero downtime surging updates. Ansible’s simple, agentless architecture means there is no need of additional software on your web servers.

From preliminary development, scenario’s to high-traffic packed web applications. Roles can be used to isolate web server configuration details and simplify complex playbooks. Ansible’s web server roles are idempotent, meaning they can run multiple times without changing the state of the web server.

Ansible servers are a great way to automate the configuration and deployment of web servers. Ansible’s simple, agentless architecture does not need any additional software on your web servers. Ansible web server roles can be used to provision and configure web servers for any purpose, from simple development environments to high-traffic web applications. Roles are in use to isolate web server configuration details and simplify complex playbooks.

Thanks to Ansible’s simple, agentless architecture, there’s no need to install any additional software on your web servers. Just use Ansible web server roles to provision and configure them for any purpose, from basic development environments all the way up to high-traffic web apps. And because roles can be used to isolate web server configuration details, they make complex playbooks much easier to manage.

Plus, since Ansible’s web server roles are idempotent, you can run them over and over again without having to worry about changing the state of your web servers.

Ansible Server....

Configuration of Ansible server:

Ansible is a free and open-source configuration management tool that lets you control server configurations from a central location. It uses to configure web servers, databases, and other types of servers. Ansible is easy to use and doesn’t require any special knowledge or skills to start. In this article, we’ll train you that how you can configure an ansible server.

Web servers are a type of server that runs web applications. A web application is something that users from the internet acquire. Web servers are responsible for handling requests from users and returning the appropriate response.

There are many web servers available, but we will be using Apache HTTP Server, which is considered the most known web server in the world.

Step1:

Installation of Apache HTTP Server on our ansible server. You can do it by running:

                                        Sudo yum install httpd

Once the installation is complete, we need to start the web server and enable it to start automatically on boot:

Step 2:

                                       sudo systemctl start httpd

                                      sudo systemctl enable httpd

By the time Apache is up and running, we can configure it to serve our web application. We’ll do this by creating a new virtual host. A virtual host is a configuration that tells Apache how to respond to requests for a specific domain or subdomain.

Step 3:

We’ll create a new file called ansible.example.com.conf in the /etc/https/conf.d directory:

sudo vi /etc/httpd/conf.d/ansible.example.com.conf

In this file, we’ll write:

                                  ServerName ansible.example.com

                             DocumentRoot /var/www/html/ansible

                                                   Require all granted

                ErrorLog /var/log/httpd/ansible.example.com-error.log

 CustomLog /var/log/httpd/ansible.example.com-access.log combined

Save the file, then close it, Restart Apache for the changes to check out the changes.

Step 4:

                                         sudo systemctl restart httpd

Our V.H is configured now. We’ll create the /var/www/html/ansible directory and add our files.

Step 5:

                          mkdir -p /var/www/html/ansible

cp -r /path/to/your/web/application/* /var/www/html/ansible

Your web application should now be accessible at ansible.com.

Features:

  • Ansible is a web server that is in use to manage web applications. It provides a way to manage web applications by allowing the user to define tasks and then execute them on a remote server.
  • Ansible also allows for the management of web servers by providing a web-based interface. This web interface can be used to manage web applications and web servers. Ansible is scripted in Python and uses the Django web framework.
  • Ansible is designed to be uncomplicated and trouble-free. It is an open-source project and is released under the Apache License.
  • Ansible is available for download from the official website. Ansible is also available from GitHub.
